Ball valves provide an economical and reliable method of controlling on-off flow in a pipe line. Rotating the ball 90° opens or closes the flow passage. The ball valve can be operated with an electric actuator, air actuator or hand lever. Advantages of ball valves over other type valves may include: higher flows with less pressure drop, higher pressures, higher temperatures, straight through flow path and wider media compatibility.
Three port ball valves are available in either an L or T shaped flow pathway through the ball. One quarter turn of the ball changes the valve position. Multiport 3-way valve allows for mixing, bypassing or use as a diverter valve.
The PVC thermoplastic ball valve is generally used for on-off control of water and other approved chemicals. PVC has been used successfully for over 60 years, and is highly resistant to corrosion. Rotating the ball 90 degrees opens or closes the PVC ball valve.
Flanged ball valves are installed in a pipe line with standard ANSI/ASME type flange mounting and used to turn flow on and off. The flange ball valve eliminates pipe threads and allows for easy removal from the pipe line for maintenance.

A butterfly valve typically mounts between two pipe flanges and utilizes a quarter turn disc for turning flow on and off. The lug butterfly valve has mounting threads built into the body for attaching to the flanges. The wafer butterfly valve mounts to a set of pipe flanges with through bolts.

What is a pressure transducer? A transducer converts an applied pressure into an electrical analog output signal that is both linear and proportional to the applied pressure to the transducer. Pressure sensor, pressure transducer, and pressure transmitter are commonly referred to as just pressure transducers. The output electrical signal from a pressure transducer is sent to computers, PLC's, chart recorders, digital panel meters or other devices that interpret this signal and use it to display, record, and/or change the pressure in the system being monitored.
