Valworx air actuated 3-way stainless steel ball valves are available in either L-port or T-port configurations. L-port valves are used for selecting or diverting applications while T-port valves are used for mixing or diverting. Both configurations are available with either a spring return or double acting actuator. The spring return actuator requires a pneumatic pilot signal to change the valve position and spring return the valve to the closed (failsafe) position. Double acting air actuators use air pressure only to change the valve position. Advantages of air actuated ball valves over other type valves may include: higher flow rates, higher pressures, higher temperatures, wider media compatibility, straight through flow path, reduced water hammer, and use in hazardous environments.
