Valworx 588202 explosion proof high pressure stainless steel ball valve is used for on-off control of water, air, oil, and other media compatible with the materials of construction. Fire safe approved per API 607. Standard unit is power-to-open and power to close, stays in last known position with loss of power. On receipt of a continuous voltage signal, the motor runs and via a self-locking all metal gear drive rotates the ball. The motor is stopped by internal cams striking limit switches. On receipt of a reversing continuous signal, the motor turns in the opposite direction reversing the valve position.
The valve is direct mounted to the actuator using the international standard ISO5211 mounting pad. Valworx does not recommend the use of high temperature brackets with explosion proof actuators. Rugged unique integral motor/housing design provides higher torque in a very small package. Actuators certified for UL Class I Div I Groups C & D, and are tested to rigorous UL and CSA standards and certified by CSA.
